I Couldn’t Feed My Son.
When our son Crewen was born, breastfeeding came naturally. For the first few months, everything seemed to be going exactly as planned. But as Melissa prepared to return to work, we realized something we hadn’t anticipated.
Crewen refused every bottle we tried.
Different brands. Different shapes. Different materials. Nothing worked.
Family members couldn’t feed him. Caregivers couldn’t feed him. And for the first time as a father, I couldn’t feed my own son.
Then I remembered seeing technology that could scan a person’s teeth with a smartphone.
A simple question crossed my mind:
Why are we making babies adapt to bottles instead of making bottles adapt to babies?
So I created a prototype inspired by the anatomy my son already knew and trusted.
He latched immediately.
That moment became Latchi.
